Hello! I’m Pasha. Here’s a bit more about me…
I’m a life-long lover of dance, and it’s been a life-changing practice for me.
Several times in my time, dance has literally saved my life.
In my teens in the UK, I knew I couldn’t go to university and do something academic, like so many of my friends. My soul was literally screaming at me, “You have to do something practical, with your body!” So I followed this voice. I worked hard to be accepted into a drama school, and my community helped me raise the funds to go.
There, my wishes came true. Between two and six hours of bodywork and dance, daily. Sometimes voice work. All practical… I was in heaven. My body became more centred and free than I’d ever known.
In my twenties, my career was full of movement. I performed in and directed physical theatre for two decades. Mask, clowning, puppetry, storytelling through the body… I loved my job!
…yet I still needed a weekly dance. It was an outlet for my burgeoning sensuality… which didn’t always have room in theatre. On the dance floor, I felt more myself and more in my body than anywhere else.
Then I took a career break, with a decade spent on the inward journey, living on meditation retreat centres. Exploring the meeting place between creativity and spirituality.
Nature and wellbeing became the heart of my practice. I returned to city life, now in Australia, and started teaching meditation and mindfulness.
And then ten years ago, I suffered a back injury… from too much sitting! Who’d have thought that meditation would be bad for me?! Conscious dance came into my life and bam! …a love affair was born. My recovery from spinal injury included lots of dance and walking.
Dance-based meditation restored my vitality and joy. Professionally, it wove together all of my passions and skills. After ten years of conscious dance and a daily practice that gathered together everything I had learnt about the body, I started to facilitate.
“We need to connect, with our bodies, with each
other and with the earth. Let’s do that, hey?”

I founded The Dance Temple, Ritual Fire Dance with Jasmine Rose and The Five Bodies School of Sacred Somatics.I have facilitated something like three thousands workshops as a facilitator, with dance, somatic arts, ensemble, myth and ritual, and collective narrative being at the heart.
Now I lead dance-as-medicine. It’s a needed antidote to the loneliness, lack of movement and dissociation in our device-addicted modern life.
Massage felt like a natural partner. Whether it’s on the dance floor, or leaving my massage sanctuary, nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing people walk away, free from tension, glowing, life-force flowing again.
Whether it’s on the dance floor or the massage table, I’m here to help folks feel fully alive! …and grateful for the opportunity to support you in that.
Anyway, enough about me… how are you doing?
How can I best help you?

We start again, by loving and by listening,
By dancing and by deepening.
Is is okay to bathe in the sunlight,
To soak it in,
To let the temple of your body feel beloved,
And to dive into the depths
Of not-knowing,
Of the mystery,
Of the deep ocean of your soul,
With trust in this Love.
Hear the drum beat
Of the ancestors,
Hear the tingling bells
Of the priestesses,
Hear the out-breath
Of the sleeping trees,
Calling to you, beyond work and the city.
It’s in your blood and bones,
Your birthright,
Your soul’s journey,
Your true nature:
to be Life, Loving Itself.

DANCE-FORMATION?
